Yasmein Abdelghany is an Egyptian education specialist and peace and sustainability advocate. She works with national, regional, and international organizations to achieve Sustainable Development Goals.

Her journey with sustainability started Five years ago through her work focusing on SDG 4.7 which addresses education for sustainable development, especially climate education, and education for a culture of peace and non-violence.

Along her journey, she was recognized as an outstanding young leader by national and international foundations where she worked on issues related to sustainability and education. Such as her selection as; a young environmental leader by the Egyptian ministry of environment, an outstanding young Egyptian researcher with proven track records in sustainability by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Copenhagen Business School, one of the six outstanding young educational researchers and content creators from around the globe by Restless development organization and Dubai Cares foundation, Egypt representative at UNESCO culture of the peace movement, UNODA and OSCE scholar for peace and security, top graduate from SDGs Trainers from Egyptian ministry of planning and the national institute for governance and sustainable development, World Youth Forum steering committee member, and MENA region climate justice ambassador by Friedrich Ebert Stiftung.

Along with her journey in sustainability, she has won several awards and recognitions; the winner of first place for Arab innovators for sustainable development, the winner of the competition knowledge for achieving sustainable development by UNDP and Mohammed Bin Rashid knowledge foundation, the winner of the global Ideathon 2020, and the winner of the Twitter MENA trophy for tolerance from the UAE Ministry of tolerance and Twitter MENA office as a representative of MENA region youth, team leader of one of the shortlisted winning teams for UN global competition on education for peace and human rights, and also by being chosen as a speaker at international conferences like UN international youth day, Biennale Luanda as a representative of the young leaders from 49 countries, and UN SDSN sustainability conference.
