Samira Shabsogh is a Research Associate at Posterity Institute. She previously worked at McLarty Associates in Washington, DC, an international strategic advisory firm that is part of the Ankura Group of Companies, as an Associate with the MENA and Media practices, where she managed project deliverables and timelines for clients in the tech, healthcare, finance, CPG, energy, infrastructure, and entertainment sectors.

She led and supported the creation of client deliverables on market penetration and exit strategies, stakeholder management, regulatory issues, and political and economic briefs. Prior to joining McLarty Associates, she worked in the Middle East and North Africa practice at Albright Stonebridge Group, reporting on tech policy and researching MENA commercial issues, and assisted with research at the American Enterprise Institute, where she focused on GCC economic policy and foreign aid flows in the MENA region.

Samira graduated from the University of Chicago with a degree in Economics and minors in History and Human Rights. She was born and raised in Amman, Jordan, and speaks fluent Arabic and English.
