Current Associate Professional in Green Gas Supply and Usage at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), Elsy Milan was selected by the UNDP Climate as one of the five most promising youths in the MENA in fighting climate change. Her journey started with the Youth Leadership Program (YLP6) in Lebanon as she was a researcher in carbon mitigation technologies at the American University of Beirut and co-establisher of SEnLi (Sustainable Engineering and Lifestyle), the first academic platform that promotes a sustainable lifestyle and encourages engineers to re-think the way they design.

As the first Lebanese female representative to Youth4Climate 2021 in Milan, she promoted the demands of the youth before officials in Lebanon. A Max Thabiso Climate Ambassador, YOUNGO member, and EU Neighborhood South Jeel Connector, Elsy dedicates her career to enabling youth to unleash their potential and play an active role in driving an equitable energy transition.
